vehicle tracking safety features

The Quartix system is able to record all vehicle movements in a yard, which Andy Kirk, sales and marketing manager for the firm, believes is invaluable for data evidence in the event of an investigation.

He says: "The system offers an out-of-hours tracking report that reveals any vehicles moving in the yard when they should not be. Reducing unauthorised movements, undoubtedly, helps reduce the risk of accidents."

As an operator, you can take advantage of the fact that the technology offers proof and recordings that appropriate vehicles are the correct weight and that they are in the correctly designated areas.

The managing director of K Transport, David Kay, has a system attached to each of his 54 HGVs. He states: "It also monitors drivers’ hours, so we can see if drivers have reason to be tired in the yard, which offers evidence for breaching hours in case of an investigation."
